California landlord notices? Mail tenants from your office.

By the USMail.ai team, more than 50 years of combined expertise in printing and mailing

California landlords can send a 3-day or eviction notice on paper with no trip to the post office, and we print and hand each letter to USPS. Upload the notice you already have, check the proof and the full price, then approve. Certified Mail is available for single notices. USPS delivery times vary.

USMail.ai is an AI print-to-mail platform for California landlords, property managers and HOA boards. You upload. You approve. We produce. This page is part of notice rules by state.

Which California notices have their own page?

Each page explains how that notice is usually sent and how USMail.ai prints and mails it. We add California pages as we publish them.

What kinds of California notices do landlords mail?

California landlords most often mail a 3-day notice, an eviction-related notice, a rent change letter or a lease non-renewal. Some notices are posted or handed to the tenant first, with a mailed copy afterward; others are mailed on their own. The California 3-day notice page covers the post-and-mail copy, and the California eviction notice page covers notices sent after a deadline.

Many California property managers handle dozens of units across several cities, so a single notice day can mean a stack of letters. Uploading the stack once and approving it on screen keeps the work at your desk instead of at the post office counter.

Does USMail.ai tell me what my California notice must say?

No. Your lawyer, the official California forms or your landlord or HOA association are the right sources for the wording, the notice period and how a notice must be served. We don't give legal advice, and we don't promise that a mailing meets any rule. We print the notice you approve and hand it to USPS.

General information, not legal advice.

When should a California notice go Certified?

Many California landlords send a single, serious notice by Certified Mail so they have a USPS record of the mailing. Certified letters cost $1.15 plus the current USPS Certified Mail fee, and USPS tracking is included with every Certified letter, never an add-on. We don't offer paper Return Receipt yet. If your lawyer or your lease calls for a Return Receipt, plan for that before you mail.

Routine notices to many tenants or owners usually go by regular First-Class Mail. Certified is a different service from Certificate of Mailing.

How does mailing a California notice work?

You save the notice the way you already make it, as a PDF or a Word file, and keep tenant or owner names and addresses in a spreadsheet. You upload both. We show you a proof of the finished letter and the full price before anything prints. When it looks right, you approve it.

We print each letter, fold it, put it in an envelope, add postage and hand it to USPS. We check every address before mailing. The AI helps set up the job, but it never suggests addresses; every address comes from you. USMail.ai is not USPS, and we can't promise when USPS will deliver a letter.

By default, letters you approve before 10 p.m. CT are handed to USPS the next business day. USPS delivery times vary. If you approve a job and then spot a mistake, you can unapprove it until its mail date. Unapproving puts the money back on your meter, not back on your card.

What does it cost to mail a California notice?

Letters starting at $1.15, postage included. For a one-page, single-sided, black-and-white First-Class letter.

You see the full price on screen before you approve. You can pay for each mailing as you go, or keep an optional balance on your meter. There are no contracts, subscriptions or setup fees. There is no printer, toner, envelope or stamp to buy, and nobody has to fold letters or stand in line at the post office.

Why mail notices instead of driving them to the post office?

A notice day often lands on top of everything else: showings, repairs, owner calls and rent questions. Printing at the office, stuffing envelopes, filling out Certified slips and standing in line can take a whole afternoon. With USMail.ai, you upload the notice from your desk, approve the proof on screen and go back to your day while we handle the paper, the postage and the handoff to USPS.
