Timing. Certified never uses the same-day First-Class window. Approve by 10:00 PM CT for the next weekday mail date, or pick a later weekday up to 60 days out. No weekend mail dates. See production cutoffs. An approved job can be unapproved until its mail date, and unapproving puts the money back on your meter.

What is online Certified Mail?

A print-to-mail workflow where you upload a document, select Certified Mail, approve the job, and a platform prints, applies postage, and delivers the piece to USPS. USPS then handles it under its Certified Mail rules.

How do I send Certified Mail with USMail.ai?

Upload the document, add Certified Mail or Certificate of Mailing, review proofs and address flags, then approve on the app or with a postage grant. We deliver the piece to USPS on your mail date. Certified is never same-day and is not for postcards.

Is Certified Mail the same as First-Class tracing?

No. First-Class IMb tracing shows scans through out for delivery. It is not tracking and not proof of delivery. Certified Mail and Priority Mail include USPS tracking, and Certified tracking can reach Delivered.

What is the difference between Certified Mail and Certificate of Mailing?

Certified Mail includes a mailing receipt and USPS tracking that records delivery or a delivery attempt. Certificate of Mailing is a receipt that you handed the piece to USPS, with no tracking.

Can I mail a flagged address on Certified Mail?

No. On the USMail.ai Certified path, flagged pieces must be fixed or removed. On First-Class, still mailing a flagged piece may be allowed, but delivery is not guaranteed.

Does Certified Mail meet my legal notice requirement?

We cannot say. Whether Certified Mail meets a statute, contract, or court rule is a question for your counsel or the governing authority.
